School work

Micah has been doing very well in school. He routinely brings home good citizenship awards (if they have good behavior ALL week, they get an award on Friday). He also works very hard on his classwork and homework (although, coloring is STILL a challenge - he just DOES NOT like it!). Below are some pictures of the work he has done in class or for homework:

Hollow Hills Family Fun Fair

On October 9th, Micah's school had a Family Fun Fair! We were there for almost 5hrs.! They had game booths, inflatable slides and jumpers, bake sales, raffles, and the playground was open. Both Micah and Julia had SO much fun! Micah's favorite thing to do was the fish ping pong (he won a fish his first try!) and playing on the playground. Julia's favorite activity was decorating pumpkins and playing on the playground.

Update!

Hello everyone!! It has been SO long since I have updated this blog (almost a month!!!) but we have been SO busy since Micah started school!!! Our days are filled with school related activities. Micah is in school full time this year, and I have also volunteered to be the classroom Mom for Micah's class! So between school, volunteering, homework, class projects and activities, that leaves little extra time! I am going to try to start updating just as much as I have previously done!

Golden Bear Award

Today (Sept. 24th), Micah had an assembly at school and durring the assembly, he was awarded a Golden Bear award for being responsive to instructions and having a positive attitude! Kenji and I are SO proud of him for doing so well in Kindergarten!! Micah was SO happy to receive the award and special Hollow Hills Elementary button!

Dodger Game

On Sunday (9/20/09), Kenji and I took Micah and Julia to their very first professional baseball game! It also happened to be Kenji's first baseball game! We all had such a great time! Micah loved watching the game and all of the excitement in the stadium as the Dodgers won! Julia didn't really know what was going on, but she still had a great time watching everything around her!

Simi Valley Days 2009

Every September, Simi Valley puts together a carnival and parade for Simi Valley Days. The past two years, the carnival has been at the park that is just down the street from us. I took Micah and Julia on the first night that it opened, and they had an amazing time! It was so nice because NO ONE was there on the first night! The kids didn't have to wait in any line for any ride! Micah's favorite ride was the big slide and Julia's favorite was the carousel (this was the first year she was able to go on any ride!). I let the kids stay until they got so tired that Micah asked to go home!

Last night and this morning I have been watching Ava (my friend Jessica's daughter) and her and Julia have been playing all morning together!
