Swim time!
We went to my moms house yesterday to go swimming. Micah is doing SO well with his swimming! He goes under all the time now and can swim across the shallow end. Julia started wearing a life vest yesterday and she LOVED it because she was able to be independent in the water and swim across the entire pool. They had a lot of fun!

4th of Julia! (night)
Tonight (July 4th), Kenji and I took Micah and Julia to Rancho Santa Susana park to watch the fireworks. We got there around 6pm and the kids jumped on bouncers for two hours! Micah was SO sweet and stayed with Julia the entire time and helped her up and down the slides. They had so much fun bouncing around and going through the obstacle courses. After the bouncers, we had just enough time to get some drinks and a snack and settle down for the fireworks. The fireworks were really great this year! Both kids loved them SO much, but Julia had fallen asleep about halfway through them. She was so exhausted from such a busy day. When the fireworks were over, Kenji and I had to take turns carrying Julia all the way back to the car because our stroller broke on the way into the park! It was a great night though and we all had so much fun!!

Fourth of July! (the morning of)
This morning the kids and I went to the Reagan Library for their 4th of July celebration. The kids always have a great time at their events. We started the day off with the "Balloon Dude". He made Julia butterfly wings to wear and he made Micah a gun. Next, the kids got an air-brushed tattoo on their arms. Micah picked an eagle and Julia picked a butterfly. After that we went out to their back courtyard for the games. Micah and Julia both played the bean bag toss and archery game. When the kids were done with the games, we went back out front to where they had a big bouncy obstacle course for the older children and a bouncy house for the younger kids. Micah and Julia both LOVED those! We ended the morning with fresh watermelon and then headed home.

water fun!
Snails galore!
Soccer!
Over summer I have both kids signed up for different activities through the parks and recreation. Julia is signed up for a Tiny Tot Soccer class. It is the first sports class she has taken, and she LOVES it (as long as I participate right along side her)! She had so much fun running around and learning how to kick the ball. She has 3 more weeks of soccer and then she starts a Pom Pom class.
