The Easter Bunny!

The Easter Bunny arrived at the mall a few days ago, and Micah was SO excited to see him (and put in his request for an Easter basket!!!)! Julia was TERRIFIED (even that is an understatement) of him! She started to scream immediately, so she did not take a pictue with him. She doens't even like looking at the picture Micah took with the Easter bunny!

St. Patricks Day

On St. Patricks day, we didn't do anything to special (just a normal day), but I did put Micah and Julia in green outfits and took some pictures that I wanted to post.

Ronald Reagan Library

Last weekend, Kenji and I took the kids to a medieval fair at the Reagan Library but by the time we were done with the fair, we didn't have time to visit the actual library. Micah was interested in going into the museum (He LOVES museums!!), so we decided to go back on Sunday, along with Brian, Vanessa and their kids (Lila and Siddha) and with Kim and her daughter, Jenna. (March 15th).

We all had a great time! We went through the entire museum, and Micah really enjoyed looking at everything. His favorite exhibit was Air Force One, and he was SO excited that we got to take a tour inside the actual plane. He also liked looking at the Presidential Motorcade.

Julia didn't really know what she was looking at, but she really enjoyed running around outside and putting her hands in the water fountain.

Julia and her new glasses

We were in the mall the other day, and Julia fell in love with these glasses! She HAD to have them! Ever since I bought them for her, she hasn't stopped wearing them!

A day at the park

Micah and Julia LOVE going to the park, and we try to go as often as possible. Yesterday (March 9th), we spent about 4 hours playing at the Wood Ranch Park, here in Simi Valley. It is a beautiful park that has it all! It has 2 BIG playgrounds with tons of slides, climbers and swings, it also has a lot of open space to run and play in and ride bikes/scooters. Both Micah and Julia LOVE this park. Micah's favorite things to do are go down the big slides and swing and Julia loves to swing, and is working up the courage to go down the bigger slides.

Medieval fair at the Reagan Library

On Sunday (March 8th) Kenji and I took Micah and Julia to the Medieval Fair at the Ronald Reagan Library here in Simi Valley. We all had a great time! There were a lot of activities for the children; Micah really enjoyed the archery and both Micah and Julia really enjoyed the potatoe toss. There was also a joust that Micah really liked watching, and Julia was so excited to see the horses! Micah was also excited that they had the giant turkey legs, and he ate almost an entire one! The Reagan Library is beautiful and had so much open space for the children to run around in. We are planning to go again next weekend and take Micah into the actual museum to see Airforce 1.

Julia's birthday weekend with Abuela and Abuelo!

The weekend of Julia's 2nd birthday (Feb. 28th & Mar. 1st.), Kenji's parents came down to visit from San Jose. It had been a couple of months since we have seen them, so we were all excited! It was a great weekend!

They arrived Saturday morning and the kids started off by opening presents from their Abuela and Abuelo. Julia got an adorable outfit and a play checkbook (She LOVES writing in checkbooks, so it was the perfect gift!) and Micah got a puzzle book and a paper airplane book, which he LOVES! He has been playing with them non-stop! After the gifts, we had a nice lunch, followed by Fo-Fo Figgilys (an indoor playcenter). The kids LOVE it there, and were SO excited Abuela and Abuelo were taking them. They played for hours, and Abuelo even went into the playcenter with Micah to run around!! After the playcenter, we went to dinner with Kenji's parents and my mom and Devon at the Cheescake Factory.

On Sunday, we met Kenji's parents at their hotel for a nice breakfast. After breakfast, Silvia and Shuji had to head back home since it is such a long drive.

We had a wonderful weekend full of fun activities. Micah and Julia were THRILLED to spend time with their Abuela and Abuelo and had so much fun!
