Whale Watching

This past weekend, Micah, Julia and I went whale watching with Silvia, Shuji, Siori and Fermin. The kids had been out on a boat for a harbor tour, but never whale watching. Both of the kids loved it!! Julia LOVED the wind blowing through her hair, and she also loved when the boat would go up and down! She kept yelling, "WOOHOO!" Micah enjoyed the boat ride as well, but got scared when the boat would rock up and down. Both of the kids REALLY enjoyed seeing the whales AND all of the dolphins!! We all had a great time!

Micah's Thanksgiving performance

Today (11/24) was Micah's Thanksgiving performance at school. Normally, Micah is the only child that does NOT sing. However! At todays performance, he did sing!! It was SO cute!! All of the children dressed up as either an Indian or a Pilgrim and they sang 4 or 5 songs and recited some Thanksgiving poems. The program was about 20 minutes long and then we went back into the classroom with the children while they had a morning snack. It was SO much fun watching Micah participate in the school program and he was very proud of himself as well!!

Micah and Santa!

Today (11/14), I took Micah and Julia to see Santa. Micah was SO excited and Julia, not so much. Micah sat with Santa and went over his entire Christmas list and Santa asked him lots of questions! He had a great time with Santa. Julia just liked to look from afar, but she did NOT want to go anywhere near him!

Long Beach Harbor Tour

Photobucket

On Sunday (11/8), Kenji and I took Micah and Julia to Long Beach to go on a 45 minute tour of the harbor. The kids have never been on a boat before, and they were SO excited!! They both had such a great time on the boat! They looked over the edge the entire time and were very happy watching the other boats go by and were so excited to see sea lions sun bathing on the bouys. They loved being out on the boat and next, Micah wants to go on a whale watching boat!!

Transformer turkey

Every week Micah and his classmates have to share an item with the class. This week, their assignment was to disguise a turkey as something. Micah decided to disguise his turkey as the transformer, Optimus Prime. I thought he did a really great job on it, so I wanted to post it. Micah normally hates coloring, but he got this done with NO complaining! I am pretty sure it has something to do with it being disguised as a transformer!!
