Kidspace

Today I took Micah and Julia to Kidspace kids museum in Pasadena. We hadn't been there in a couple years. The kids had SO much fun! We got there at 10am and we didn't leave until they closed at 5pm! They have a lot of stuff for the kids to do. Micah and Julia climbed gigantic rain drop steps, played in a stream, dug for fossils, looked at the bug exhibits, rode bikes, played music, climbed through an ant hill and so much more! Micah's favorite activity was playing in the stream. He played for a couple of hours in it! Julia's favorite activity was digging for fossils. They both had a lot of fun and came home nice and tired!

Julia's first drawing

This is one of the first drawings Julia has made of a person! It has hands, eyes, ears and a mouth. She loves to draw now and we have never had to teach her how to hold a pencil or crayon - she has always just known the correct way.

Santa Barbara zoo

The kids and I were at home the other day with nothing planned, so I decided to take them over to the Santa Barbara zoo. We hadn't been there in awhile and its a nice zoo to visit. Since its in Santa Barbara and really close to the beach, the weather is great there! The kids had such a great time. We walked around and looked at all of the animals, fed the giraffs and went on the zoo train ride. Micah's favorite animal was the aligator and Julia told me her favorite animals were the "very smelly penguins."

Pom Pom class

Durring summer I have put Micah and Julia both into classes through the park and recreations. One of the classes Julia wanted to take is a pom pom class. Its a little cheerleading class for 2 and 3 year olds. It's SO cute! The girls run and jump around with little pom pom in their hands for an hour. The instructor tried to teach them a little routine, but since they are only 2 and 3yrs. old, they were not interested in learning any routine. All they have wanted to do is run around with the pom poms and jump on the trampoline with them.

Dancing Queen!

I was cleaning the kitchen this morning and when I clean, I put music on. When "Single Ladies" by Beyonce came on, Julia came running in the kitchen to dance! It is her favorite song.

Soccer time

Julia had her soccer class today. She has a lot of fun running around and playing in the class, as long as I participate right along side her. She does a good job at kicking the ball and getting it into the goal. Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Micah and Joshua durring Julia and Jordys soccer class: Photobucket

Northridge Famers Market

Yesterday the kids and I went over to the Northridge Farmers Market. I used to take Micah every week when we lived in Northridge, but we haven't been there in the longest time. They had such a good time though. They got to bounce in bounce houses and on obstacle courses (they have been to SO many bounce places lately!!) and they also got to go into a petting zoo. After the farmers market we walked around the Northridge mall. The kids had a fun night!
