Cub Scouts

This past week or so is when our Tiger Scout den has officially gotten started and going. We had our first meeting last week and it went great! The kids had a good time. We worked on memorizing the Cub Scout promises and we also made family scrapbooks.


We have also gone on a hike with the whole Cub Scout pack. It's a local trail in Simi Valley, and its so much fun! Everyone had a great time! It's about a 3 mile hike (up and down hill). The kids got to go into 2 different small caves and explore a little bit off trail. They all had a lot of fun!

Veterans Day 2010

On Veterans Day I took the kids to the Reagan Library because they were having a Veterans Day celebration. We always go to their events, and we always have such a great time! This time was no different - Micah and Julia both really enjoyed looking at all of the military vehicles and old weapons. They had old guns, swords and cannons. They both had a lot of fun looking at everything.

Sea World

Last week Kenji was on vacation so we took the kids to San Diego for 3 days to go to Sea World. We hadn't been in 3yrs. (since Micah was 3yrs. old and Julia was only 2 months old). Both kids had a GREAT time! We were there from 10am until 5pm, and probably could have stayed even longer!! Micah's favorite part of the day was feeding and petting the dolphins. Julia's favorite part was the Sea Lion show.

Trick Or Treat!

On Halloween night, Kenji and I took the kids Trick Or Treating throughout a local neighborhood. They were both SO excited and had the best time! Julia really really enjoyed herself. It was SO cute watching her knock and say, "Trick Or Treat!" and then when the people would hand her the candy she would say, "Thank you! Happy Halloween!". And when Micah would forget his manners, she would correct him! She would ask him, "Micah, did you remember to say thank you?" They trick or treated for almost 2hrs. and had so much fun!
