Magic Mountain!!
During the school year, Micah's school has a read-a-thon. They have to try to read for as many hours as possible within a two week period. If they read for atleast 10hrs., they get a free Magic Mountain ticket at the end of the year. Micah reached the highest level for hours read, so he recieved his ticket to Magic Mountain. He has never been before and Kenji and I thought he was old enough to try it out for the first time. This past Wednesday, when Kenji had the day off from work (and an online only class!! yay!) we took him. Micah had the best time! He started off a little unsure of the rides, but quickly got excited about them. We were there from 11am until 9:30pm and only stopped for 20 minutes to eat lunch. The rest of the time we were walking around and riding rides. Gold Rusher was his favorite (also used to be my favorite when I was younger)! He also loved the Scrambler. We went on the Log Ride and Roaring Rapids and got soaking wet (thank goodness we brought extra clothes!)!! It was a really great day! Kenji and I had a lot of fun spending the day with Micah. At the end he told us, "This was the best day of my entire life!" Which totally makes everything we do with him and for him, worth it!!

Back at the beach!
This summer, we are trying to make a habit out of going to the beach. We all love it there and have so much fun! We were back at Manhattan Beach on Sunday and had the best time. The kids played in the water all afternoon!
After the beach we went over into Palos Verdes to take the kids to a park where you are above the clouds. It was so beautiful there!

Before and Middle picture!
4th Of July!
We had a lot of fun on the 4th of July! In the morning, I took Micah and Julia over to the Reagan Library for their 4th of July celebration. There were lots of games for the kids to play and several craft tables set up. Micah and Julia both had a lot of fun there - we always enjoy the Reagan Library events. Later on in the day, Kenji and I took the kids to Rancho Santa Susana Park for their 4th of July celebration. The kids had a blast playing on all of the bouncy slides and obstacle courses. Once it got later in the evening, we settled down on blankets with some snacks and watched the fireworks. They were amazing this year! Both kids LOVED them so much! It was a good day!
