Weekend with Abuela and Abuelo!

This past weekend (8/28-8/30), Kenji's parents were visiting from San Jose. We had such a great weekend with them, as well as with Siori and Fermin.

On Friday, we met that night and went out to dinner with everyone for Shuji's birthday to the Seafood Port in Torrance.

Saturday, the kids and I went to Shuji and Silvia's hotel in Long Beach in the morning, and they were able to go swimming in the hotels indoor swimming pool. They had so much fun!! Micah and Julia both splashed around and played for over an hour. After the swimming pool, we went out to lunch to the Long Beach Cafe. It was so good! And the kids were both very excited to get ice cream sundaes at the end! Then Silvia and I took Micah and Julia to the Long Beach Aquarium. Micah had SO much fun looking at all of the sea life! Julia loved it as well, although she was very tired!! Later that night, everyone got together again to go out to dinner at the Olive Garden. Julia was so tired though, she slept through the entire meal!!

On Sunday, Kenji, the kids and I went to the Long Beach port with Silvia and Shuji. We walked around and looked in the different shops. After, we met Siori and Fermin for lunch at the China Buffet. When we were done with lunch, we took Micah and Julia to Chuck E. Cheese to play some games. They had such a great time!! They love playing there! After Chuck E. Cheese, Silvia and Shuji had to get ready to leave for the airport.

We had such a great weekend with family!!

Today was Micah's very first time having homework! He was excited about doing homework at first, but that excitement lasted for about 2 seconds! Today he had to trace his name once and then write it again by himself 3 times. Since today was his very first time having to do homework, he had a hard time sitting still to do it, but eventually got it done!

Micah had a great first day in Kindergarden! When I picked him up and asked him how his day was, he told me, "Great! I didn't even get one time out or yelled at!"

Micah's First Day Of Kindergarten!!

Today (9/26/09) is Micah's very first day of Kindergarden at Hollow Hills Fundamental Elementary school!! He was so very excited to start and woke up bright and early at 6:45am! We got to his school at about 7:45am, so that he had some time before class started to play on the playground. At 8am, he and his classmates lined up in front of the classroom and the teacher (Mrs. Cooper) let them into the classroom. I went into his classroom with him for about 45 minutes. Mrs. Cooper had the children go on a scavenger hunt to find different things and places around the classroom (the bathrooms, sink, their desk, etc.). Then they sat down to do some coloring. Micah was really enjoying himself. When it was time for me to leave, he wasn't scared at all! He was so excited that he got to stay for the day! I go to pick him up at 1:00pm this afternoon!

Micah's Kindergarden Social

Today (8/25), Micah had his Kindergarden social! We got to go to the Kindergarden quad where they were selling snow cones and school spirit t-shirts, and meet all of the other Kindergarden children. Micah also got a chance to play on his new playground. He had SO much fun and is SO very excited for his first day of school TOMORROW!! He is all set and ready to start Kindergaren at Hollow Hills Elementary!!

Grandparents 50th wedding anniversary party

Last night (8/22/09), we all celebrated my Grandparents 50th wedding anniversary and my Aunt Debbie and Uncle Mark's 25th wedding anniversary. We all had such a great time and it was so much fun to see family that we haven't seen in years! The kids played with their cousins the ENTIRE night and couldn't have had any more fun than they did!! Kenji and I were able to visit, talk and laugh with my family and it was great. After dinner, there was dancing and Julia danced the night away!! She had so much fun shaking her little booty! She didn't stop until the music stopped!

Grandparents 50th wedding anniversary

Today we are celebrating my Grandparents 50th wedding anniversary! Kenji drew this picture of my Grandparents as a gift. I just wanted to post it on here because I think he did such an amazing job and I wanted to share with everyone!

Fo-Fo Figgilys

Our days have been busy lately with tons of fun activities for the kids!! Today (8/13), the kids and I went to Fo-Fo Figgily's indoor playcenter with Jessica and her daughter, Ava. The kids had a great time!! Micah didn't stop running and playing for over 2hrs. (thats why there are no pictures of him in this post!!) and Julia and Ava had a lot of fun in the toddler playroom. Julia loves being around Ava!

Under The Sea playcenter

On Wednesday (8/12), the kids and I went to the Under The Sea indoor playcenter in Manhattan Beach with Marc, Maggie, and their son Marc jr. All the kids had a great time! Julia loved riding the little bikes and cars that they had, and she also really enjoyed going down the small slides. Micah had the best time bouncing in the bounce house, and riding a little motorcycle down a ramp.

Griffith Observatory

On Sunday (8/9/09) Kenji, the kids and I went to the Griffith Observatory with Jessica, Dhilip and their daughter Ava. We had never been before, and Micah was excited to go because he loves space and learning about the different planets. He really enjoyed looking at all of the different exhibits and learning facts about each planet. We all had a great time and it was nice to be able to visit with Jessica, Dhilip and Ava!!
